Three animated DVD releases hit stores shelves today. First up is Pooh’s Heffalump Movie [press release here], the latest Pooh offering from Disney. Budgeted at around $20 million, the film received positive reviews and garnered close to $18 million, in theaters. As the review from Coming Soon suggests, “Pooh’s Heffalump Movie is fun for kids and adults will find it tolerable. If you liked the other Pooh movies, you’ll enjoy this.”
Meanwhile, those craving some superhero fun may be interested in the Batman: The Animated Series – Volume Three [press release here] and Superfriends: Volume Two [press release here] DVDs, both of which Coming Soon reviews as well. Regarding Batman:TAS- Volume 3, the site states it is, “a required addition to the DVD collections of comic fans, animation fans, and action/adventure fans,” while the site’s verdict on Superfriends: Volume Two is that it, “works great as entertainment for young kids, a collectible for comic fans, or a piece of nostalgia for 30-somethings.
