The print edition of Video Business Magazine this week carries an advertisement announcing the release of a Steamboy Director’s Cut on DVD. Featuring the voices of Anna Paquin, Alfred Molina and Patrick Stewart, Steamboy was released by Sony Pictures earlier this year. A fully in-depth 4-disc set was issued in its native Japan, but this US edition is a pretty packed affair too, with the new 126 minute cut, English and original Japanese audio, an interview with director Katsuhiro (Akira) Ôtomo’s, and several behind-the-scenes featurettes. The ad also reveals a Steamboy Gift Set, with additional design booklet, postcards and 22 page Manga, and another boxed set which bundles in the 1995 anime Memories. To see it, follow this link:
