SUBWAY KIDS’ PAK MEALS NOW FEATURE SCOOBY-DOO TOY PREMIUMS

(Milford, CT) May 9, 2005 – Participating Subway restaurants in the United States and Canada are now offering four new Scooby-Doo activity inspiring toy premiums with its popular Kids’ Pak meals, available through June 26th, while supplies last.

Scooby-Doo, a giant but not too brave Great Dane is the mascot to a group of young people who are fascinated by the mysterious and the supernatural. Their club, Mystery Inc., seeks and finds suspense, thrills and harrowing adventure. Scooby-Doo currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most episodes of a cartoon comedy series having solved mysteries in 350 episodes since 1969. To this day, Scooby-Doo continues to be a top favorite cartoon character with children ages of all ages and viewers can find the Scooby-Doo series daily on Cartoon Network.

In keeping with the Subway chain’s commitment to its F.R.E.S.H. Steps program, which encourages children to eat healthy and keep active, the following action-oriented Scooby-Doo toys are included in the promotion:
Scooby-Doo Chute-Toss Scooby in the air and watch him float down to the ground clinging to his brightly colored parachute. The “no strings attached” design makes for hours of tangle free fun.

Scooby-Doo Spray ‘n Soar- Soak this nifty flippy flier in water and toss for a “cool” experience. Features Scooby and his best buddy Shaggy hanging ten on a big board. Surf’s up!

Scooby-Doo Ski ‘n Splash- The fearful canine is featured on a fun squeeze toy. Fill the jet ski with water and take aim at the fierce shark target.

Scooby-Doo Canine Copter- Launch this fun copter skyward using only kid power! Scooby flies high on his very own canine copter for a wild ride in the sky.

A safety-designed Mega Bloks Little Farm toy premium is also available for toddlers 18 months and older.

“We’re excited that Scooby-Doo will be a part of the Subway Kids’ Pak meal promotion through June,” said Phyllis Ehrlich, Senior Vice President of Promotions Marketing, Cartoon Network Sales & Marketing. “We think that kids will be thrilled to receive an active toy featuring one of Cartoon Network’s all-time favorite characters and will be encouraged to get outside and stay active.”

Each Kids’ Pak meal selection includes a freshly made deli-style sandwich, a Fruit Roll-ups fruit snack, a Minute Maid 100% Juice box, and now, a Scooby-Doo toy premium. “Scooby-Doo is one of the most popular and recognizable cartoon characters of all time. Several generations have grown up watching Scooby-Doo and these action toys provide kids with another way to enjoy their favorite character while engaging in a fun activity,” says Michelle Cordial, Director of Implementation and Execution for the Subway Franchise Advertising Fund Trust (SFAFT).
