The Internet Movie Database indicates that Roy E. Disney applauds Dream On Silly Dreamer, veteran Disney animator Dan Lund’s documentary on Disney’s move from traditional to computer animation. Partially animated itself, the 40-minute Dream On Silly Dreamer includes interviews from former Disney animators. Roy Disney stated on Tuesday, “I have to say how very human a face [the documentary] puts on an institutional tragedy … the slow, cruel and insidious death of Disney animation over the past several years.” Dream On Silly Dreamer will be shown in Minneapolis on Thursday, a day prior to Disney’s annual shareholder’s meeting, located in the same city.
