Around 250 original pictures from such Disney classics as Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Fantasia have been discovered at a warehouse in Chiba University, reports Kyodo News, via Yahoo! Asia. Including celluloid and background images, along with sketches, the pictures were donated by the Walt Disney Co. to the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, after being exhibited at Japan department stores, near 1960. In 1963, Chiba University took the images from the museum, for educational purposes. Unfortunately, the pictures then became unaccounted for, until they were recently found in the engineering department’s warehouse at the university. Chiba University is currently considering exhibiting the images.
