The Big Cartoon Database reports that in addition to the DC Comics stamps being released next year, the United States Postal Service is also releasing two other postage sets featuring animated characters. The first, called “Favorite Children’s Book Animals” and being released in January, features eight cherished characters from children’s literature, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Maisy, Wild Thing, Curious George, Wilbur, Frederick, Olivia, and Fox in Socks. The second, being released in April, is the third and final set in the Art of Disney series. The theme this time is Romance, and the stamps feature Cinderella and Prince Charming, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and Tramp, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
