In more sad news for Winnie the Pooh fans, John Fiedler, the voice of Piglet, passed away on June 25 according to CNN. The stage and screen actor became the voice of Pooh’s “ever-worrying” friend when his naturally high-pitched voice was noticed. “Walt Disney heard it on a program and said, ‘That’s Piglet’ ” according to his brother. Fiedler also appeared in several other Disney films: Sexton Mouse in Robin Hood, Deacon Owl in The Rescuers, Porcupine in The Fox and the Hound, and the old man who threw off Kuzco’s groove and was tossed out a window in The Emperor’s New Groove.
