Hot on the heels of the announcement of its New York premiere on June 6 and limited release on June 10 comes the news that Howl’s Moving Castle, distributed in America by Disney Pictures, will screen at the Castle Theater in the Maui Arts & Cultural Center as part of this year’s Maui Film Festival. “Destinies are intertwined, identities exchanged and lovers confused in this spectacularly visual giant jigsaw puzzle fantasy from anime master Hayao Miyazaki. This masterpiece, which grossed $200,000,000 in Japan, features the voices of Christian Bale (Batman Begins) and Billy Crystal, among others.” Animated News’ Christian Ziebarth will be in attendance, probably attired in board shorts, sandals, tiki necklace, and a Lilo and Stitch t-shirt.
