From Coming Soon comes the Variety article indicating Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino are set to direct the CGI feature spin on Dr. Seuss’ classic Horton Hears a Who. Scheduled for a release in the spring of 2008, the film has written by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul. Meanwhile, storyboarding has just begun, under the watchful eyes of Fox Animation president Chris Meledandri and Blue Sky’s Chris Wedge, both of whom are producing Horton. Audrey Geisel, the widow of Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel, is executive producing the movie. Should Horton Hears a Who become a box office success, Fox has already bought the option for Horton Hatches an Egg.
