The Animation World Network reports that Classic Media is readying a brand-new Frosty the Snowman feature for this fall. Narrated by Burt Reynolds and starring Tom Kenny (the voice of Spongebob Squarepants), The Legend of Frosty the Snowman follows the plot, “When Frosty blows into the perfect little town of Evergreen he is shocked to learn that fun is against the rules and there’s absolutely, positively no talk of nonsense, tooth fairies, magic or mischief. Frosty soon helps the children of Evergreen rediscover the magical power of fun and play, as well as the courage to stand up for what is right.” Written by Emmy-nominated Emily Kapnek (creator of Nickelodeon’s As Told By Ginger) and directed by award-winning director Greg Sullivan (Nickelodeon’s Yakkity Yak), The Legend of Frosty the Snowman comes direct to DVD this fall.
