John Cohen has been promoted from director of development to vp of production at Twentieth Century Fox Animation, AWN reports. Cohen, who joined the division in 2000, is currently involved in Fox/Blue Sky’s Horton Hears a Who, which will mark the first time a Dr. Seuss classic has been adapted completely in CGI. Meanwhile, Cohen’s pet project is to bring Alvin and the Chipmunks back with a movie featuring computer animated versions of the title characters in a live action world. Cohen also was the brain behind www.NapoleonVsFender.com, which cross-promotes Robots and Napoleon Dynamite.
