Former Lucasfilm Digital President Jim Morris has moved to Pixar where he will be producing one of the post-Disney films coming after Cars’ release in 2006, according to a Luxo report of a Variety story. While at Lucasfilm Digital, Morris “oversaw effects and sound divisions of Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound. Morris served as General Manager of ILM for 13 years and President of Lucas Digital for 11 years, departing Lucasfilm in November 2004. During his tenure, the company led the way in the digital revolution that resulted in every major breakthrough, from the pseudopod in The Abyss, to the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park to the invisible effects of Forrest Gump to the stunning visual worlds and characters of the new Star Wars Trilogy”.
