DVD Answers reports that on October 18th, Fox Home Entertainment will release the Ferngully: The Last Rainforest Special Edition DVD. Carrying both 1.85:1 anamorphic and 1.33:1 full frame transfers, the DVD will include: a commentary by director Bill Kroyer, coordinating art director Susan Kroyer, and art director Ralph Eggleston; a “Seed of the Story: Script to Screen” comparison, with optional commentary by screenwriter Jim Cox; a “From Paper To Tree” featurette; a “Behind The Voice: Toxic Love Multi-Angle” feature; a promotional gallery; original theatrical trailers; an original 1992 featurette; a “If I’m Gonna Eat Somebody It Might As Well Be You” music video; a still gallery; and multiple interactive games.

In other animated DVD news, Ultimate Disney writes that the Tarzan Special Edition DVD and The Emperor’s New Groove “New Groove Edition” DVD will definitely be arriving in stores on October 18th as well.
