DVDtoons reveals that Entertainment Rights has acquired the rights to create He-Man: Masters of the Universe DVDs for a 2005 release in North America, after a deal last March in which they obtained the Filmation library of cartoons from Hallmark. The new deal also gives Entertainment control of She-Ra, Ghostbusters, and The Lone Ranger, among other characters. Since 1999, Entertainment has boosted its library of programming from 50 hours to more than 1,800 hours of children’s and family characters and brands. Thanks to George C at the AN Forum for the news.
