June 21, 2005: Goofa Man Productions is proud to announce — for the second year in a row — that one of its animations has been selected to be in the San Diego Comic-Con International film festival!

Electronic Things of the Future is a five-minute animated short film by Mike Fisher’s award-winning studio. This short animation introduces five electronic devices that anyone must have to exist in this modern-day world!… How could anyone get along without the Desktop Genetic Scrambler or the Mechanical Finger?

This animation marks the first time that Mike’s character 3-D Pete is animated! Mike’s creation 3-D Pete has been featured regularly in full page color cartoons in the pages of Animation Magazine as well as Modeler’s Resource magazine.

The screening of Electronic Things of the Future is scheduled for Friday, July 15 at 3:05 in Room 26AB (in the new portion of the Convention Center, on the top floor, above Hall H, at the south end of the building) at the San Diego Convention Center. Please check the Comic-Con program book for any last minute changes.

Mike’s animations have won several awards. His last animation, Far Away Eyes, won a Rosebud award in 2005, took the first place prize in the 2004 DIGit Media Arts Exposition, and won first place in science fiction at the Philadelphia Video Festival.

Besides creating animations, Mike has also been creating cartoons for Starlog magazine for over fifteen years. He also has been developing The Astonishing Nano Sapien, a comic book and animation concept based on one of his award-winning short films, Far Away Eyes.

Please come out to see the screening in San Diego of the latest Goofa Man Production! Mike will be there and will be glad to answer any questions!
