Activision, Inc. and DreamWorks Animation SKG have announced a new “long-term, broad-based strategic alliance,” says a press release at Coming Soon. The deal is a multi-year agreement providing Activision with exclusive video game rights to DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming slate, including Bee Movie, Kung Fu Panda, Rex Havoc, and How to Train Your Dragon. Shrek 3 and any other future Shrek films are also part of the arrangement. About the partnership, Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, noted, “Activision is a market leader in developing computer-generated movie properties into video game franchises. Working with Activision, we hope to deliver an unprecedented level of collaboration between the movie and the video game.”
