ComngSoon.net reports that Disney will be remaking the 1982 film Tron. Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal have been hired to write the script. “We are contemporizing it, taking these ideas that were ahead of the curve and applying them to the present, and we feel the film now has a chance to resonate with a young audience,” said Klugman”. Instead of being trapped in a computer program, the new version will have the programmer character trapped in an internet cyberworld. Klugman and Sternthal’s previous writing credits include the upcoming historical epic Warrior for Miracle director Gavin O’Connor, and Black Cat, “based on the 1940s Harvey comic book character of a stuntwoman who becomes a vigilante on the streets of Los Angeles”, for The Mask director Chuck Russell.
