The Hollywood Reporter, through Coming Soon, indicates that Sean Connery and the independent production company Glasgow Animation are teaming to form Billi Productions. The alliance’s first production will be the computer animated short, Sir Billi the Vet, due for completion next summer. Actors lending their voices for the film include Sean Connery, Alan Cumming, Miriam Margolyes, Richard Briers, Ruby Wax, Barbara Rafferty, Alex Norton, Gail Porter and Scottish comedian Ford Kiernan. Patrick Doyle is composing the score for Sir Billi the Vet. The film focuses on “Sir Billi (Connery) and a goat that thinks it’s a dog (Cumming) who set out on a highland adventure to rescue a rambunctious rabbit.” Directed by Sascha Hartmann, produced by Tessa Hartmann and Connery, and executive produced by John F. Fraser, Sir Billi the Vet will be shown at film festivals next year, in hopes of launching a television series or movie.
