For Immediate Release
June 24, 2005: Cheeky Entertainment is proud to announce the selection and premiere of the animated short film, Astrothrill, at the San Diego Comic-Con International Film Festival!
Astrothrill is a ten-minute film by veteran animator/comic book artist Craig Clark. Adapted, in part, from his comic book/compilation CD into a Flash animated short, Astrothrill chronicles the adventures of Zeon, a teenage skateboard guitarist from outer space. Zeon and his motley crew of inter-galactic freaks and humans battle evil aliens as they abduct spectators at an Extreme Sports and Music Festival.
Astrothrill is scheduled to screen Saturday, July 16 at 4:00 in Room 26AB (in the new portion of the Convention Center, on the top floor, above Hall H, at the south-end of the building) at the San Diego Convention Center. Please check the Comic-Con program book for any last minute changes.
Join Craig Clark for a Q&A session immediately following the screening.
Craig’s animation and FX credits include: Forrest Gump, The Simpsons, The Mask, Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, and many more! In addition to creating animated shorts, Craig and his wife, Laura Behary have also published Nemesister, Astrothrill, and Timbuktu on their Cheeky Press comic book label.
