4Kids Entertainment Inc. has revealed that it will not renew its license for Pokémon, which expires on December 31st, reports the Big Cartoon Database. Instead, Pokémon USA, Inc.’s in-house licensing group will deal with all Pokémon licensing outside of Asia, beginning in 2006. Nonetheless, in addition to continuing to receive commissions for the next several years on payments made under the current Pokémon license, 4Kids will also produce the eighth season of the Pokémon televion series.
