Just an early heads-up that a recent ASIFA-Hollywood mailing announced that there will indeed be another 2D Expo held this year but the exact date is yet to be announced. Last year the first 2D Expo was held on the Woodbury College campus and attracted professionals, students, aspiring artists, and plain ol’ enthusiasts in the animation business, all gathered together to discuss their appreciaion for traditional hand-drawn animation. At a time when the big studios are attempting to snuff out hand-drawn animation in favor of solely CGI-created animation gatherings like these are sorely needed.
