On September 22 the Newport Beach Film Festival will be showcasing a free encore presentation of all the animated shorts that had been screened while the festival was in regular session earlier this year. This program will be held at the Orange County Museum of Art.

At the SIGGRAPH 2005 computer graphics conference in Los Angeles, George Lucas mentioned his future computer animated Clone Wars television series, indicates the Internet Movie Database. According to Lucas, the show will be produced at Lucas Animation’s facilities in Singapore, where the Star Wars director is building a computer animation production plant.

According to Ultimate Disney, at last weekend’s Gathering of the Gargoyles convention in Las Vegas, Gargoyles creator/producer Greg Weisman revealed that the Gargoyles: Season 2, Part 1 DVD will be released this December. The three-disc DVD will feature 26 episodes of the series, specifically episodes 14-40, along with audio commentaries and other extras.
