As we reported at the end of 2003, Warner Bros. Pictures and the Imax Corporation have announced that Robert Zemeckis’ latest film, the 3D animated The Polar Express is headed to Imax theaters day and date with the standard 35mm theatrical release. Coming Soon has the latest info, including the new fact that the film will also be converted into a 3D experience for its Imax run. The Polar Express is the latest in a series of WB movies to hit Imax screens now that Disney seems to have pulled out from the market. Also due soon are this summer’s Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban and Tim Burton’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory in the summer of 2005.
