Variety via FilmForce indicates that Warner Brothers and Robert Zemeckis’ production company ImageMovers have purchased the movie rights to actor/writer Ian Ogilvy’s forthcoming three-book series entitled Measle and Wrathmonk. The filmmakers are supposedly planning to use the “performance capture” CG-animation technique which was used with The Polar Express. Measle and Wrathmonk involves “a young boy who, after his parents go missing, is sent to live with an eccentric uncle who turns out to be a crazy wizard. Before the kid knows it, he’s been shrunk and banished to be a villager in the wrathmonk’s toy train set.”
