It’s been a good couple of weeks for animation and fantasy films at this week’s theaters in the UK, mainly due to the school holidays. The Haunted Mansion was off to a good start at number one with $10.1 million in the bank, and Looney Tunes: Back In Action stayed the course after two weeks, actually climbing a spot, from five to four, and a $6.1m take. Big Fish is still lounging around the top ten, at number seven, but has only drawn in $9.7m after six weeks, while The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King, dropping from seven to eight, took in close to $0.85m this week for a 10-week total of $110.1m. Expect that to rise even further if it wins big at this Sunday’s Oscars!
