For those who did, and want to see it again at home, DVD Answers have just revealed the full specs, artwork and menus for the upcoming region one edition. Features include a 2.40:1 anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 EX surround track, plus extras galore: Tv specials A Journey Completed: A Director’s Vision, A Filmmaker’s Journey: Making The Return of the King and a National Geographic Special, plus multiple internet featurettes, and previews including a “Lord of the Rings Trilogy Super Trailer”. The disc is scheduled for release on 25th May, for $29.95. An extended cut edition, as with the previous two films, is expected in the fall.
