Set to retail on January 27th, The Critic: The Complete Series brings together all 23 episodes from seasons one and two, as well as a few other surprises! Speculation across the web also has wish-listers including the 2000 follow-up “webisode” series in the set. Initial reports confim a “short film” compliation, which many have taken to be a mesh of only several clips from that season, but we can now exclusively reveal that this is not the case – all the 3½ minute Shockwave-animated shows feature in their own section, complete and uncut, on disc three!

Other extras include compilation clips featuring “Trailer Parodies” and the “Top Ten Reviews” – Jay Sherman style, of course. There’s commentary on 8 episodes, while three additional one-minute clips that play out optionally during one show highlight the making of an episode. Lastly, there’s a decent new interview with the creators that looks at “Creating The Critic” – not that any of the packaging reveals any of this! But feel safe in the knowledge that it’s all there, spread over three fun discs, and featuring all ten of those internet shorts!
