While it seems the Mickey Mouse In Color 2, On The Front Lines and TomorrowLand sets in the new wave of Walt Disney Treasures deluxe DVD tins are the most anticipated, The Chronological Donald, part one of a collection of Duck shorts, “seemingly has been given the least attention”, as Del Walker says in his DVD Toons review. “This is a shame as it is the only Wave 3 title which features ‘golden age’ cartoon films produced by the Walt Disney Studio when it was really in its prime, the years of 1936-1941”, he says. “There are a total of 36 cartoon gems featured in this 2 disc set, which is a lot of the ‘duck’ to be sure. Quite frankly, I remain very pleased with how nice these films look on this DVD release [and] it cannot be surpassed for completeness of content either. As a vintage cartoon enthusiast this DVD compilation is definitely a must have”. The four new titles are in stores from this coming Tuesday.
