“This marvelously quick-witted and gloriously goofy hand-drawn feature shows there’s still more than 21 grams of life left in the form,” New York Times critic Elvis Mitchell writes. Wagging into 2,027 theaters today, Teacher’s Pet is receiving mostly praise from critics, with an 85% Tomatometer Fresh Rating at Rotten Tomatoes, and a score of 71 at Metacritic. The movie needs good word of mouth, as box office predictions for the film are not very high. Box Office Report forecasts that Teacher’s Pet will open at 7th place, with $7.5 million, while Box Offce Guru is a bit more hopeful, suggesting that the movie could open with around $9 million, adding that, “with Cheaper by the Dozen entering its fourth weekend, the marketplace has room for the new film since a large number of school children have extra time off over the holiday weekend. The Disney brand name won’t hurt either.” Coming Soon! has four clips of Teacher’s Pet, available in either Window’s Media Player or Real Player format.
