Animated News reader ‘Dacey’ has written in with a summary of a sneak peek, contained on the DTV Springtime With Roo, of Disney’s next Winnie The Pooh feature, The Heffalump Movie, which interestingly enough is now going under the title of Pooh’s Heffalump Movie. Read her full run down here:
“Surprisingly, a teaser trailer for the next theatrical Pooh movie is on DVD copies of Winnie the Pooh: Springtime With Roo! It’s hidden under ‘bonus materials’ (though the trailer is not advertised on the disc’s packaging). As the teaser begins, we hear mysterious music playing as the Walt Disney Pictures logo is shown. A voice says, ‘Coming only to theaters February 2005’. We see spooky shots of the Hundred Acre Wood and the narration continues: ‘There is something mysterious in the Hundred Acre Wood. Something strange. Something different’. We then see Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Roo all franticly telling Rabbit (who is shown wearing a bathrobe and curlers) the strange things that happend to them last night. Tigger says that he felt a loud shaking that suddenly stopped. Rabbit then says, in a voice with dread, ‘There is only one known thing that could do that: a Heffalump’. Piglet screams loudly. The music abruptly changes from scary to happy and cheerful as we see Roo meeting a cute kid Heffalump who playfully scares him, causing Roo to comically faint. [The narration ends with:] ‘Walt Disney Pictures presents an all-new animated adventure: Pooh’s Heffalump Movie‘. All and all, it was a promising preview, and I hope the future ads continue to look as good. – Dacey.”
