Variety reports that South Park will begin airing in syndication by September 2005, and will be broadcast by television stations covering more than 40% of the country. “By 2005, Marcus said, standards may have loosened enough for stations to play South Park not only post-11 p.m. but at 7 and 7:30 p.m., like Twentieth TV’s The Simpsons.” The producers will collect more than $100 million in licensing fees and advertising revenues from the deals. However, the syndication package does not include the complete series, as some episodes contain too much “raunchiness” in their storylines to be removed. Thanks to Toon Zone for the heads up!
