On the eve of its release, DVD Toons has posted the first online review for the Shrek 2 DVD, saying that, although the film “may not be an all-time classic, it’s a fun, fun movie whose infectious atmosphere and spirited performances warrant a purchase. Kids will adore it even more, with whom the Donkey and Puss In Boots characters have become major hits, though DreamWorks releasing this on the Friday that The Incredibles comes out stinks of unfair play. My advice, if you’re going to spring for this disc, is to go see The Incredibles while you’re out, or at least make sure you don’t let this Shrek divert you from seeing that film too. Shrek 2 delivers the goods: plenty of fun for the media-savvy family, made by one of the slickest producers of such fare”.
