Variety is reporting that Wes Anderson (Rushmore) and Revolution Studios will turn Roald Dahl’s book The Fantastic Mr. Fox into a stop-motion film. The book tells the story of a fox who finds him and his family targeted for death by three farmers who are tired of sharing their chickens with the critter. Anderson will direct the film and co-write the screenplay with partner Noah Baumbach. This will be the first animated film for both Anderson and Revolution. Sony will distribute the film.
