Renart The Fox is a comedy based on the well known fairy tale “Le Roman de Renart.” The film tells the adventure of Renart, an outlaw fox who steals from the rich to help poor kids. Directed by Thierry Schiel and produced by Luxemburg based Oniria Pictures, the movie uses computer graphics to achieve a unique look, half way between an illustrated children book and a videogame. David Reynolds of The Emperor’s New Groove and Finding Nemo fame is penning the story. Currently, the film is scheduled for a December 2004 release in France, and the producers are actively seeking distributors for the United States. You can see a trailer at the official web page.
