According to Yahoo! News, an NBC sales presentation containing clips of Father of the Pride was met with silence after its showing at Madison Avenue. “The animated series was in far worse shape than Horn, and the reaction of NBC’s advertising clients was so negative that it’s unlikely the program will last on NBC’s schedule,” writes industry analyst Jack Myers in an online newsletter. Jeff Zucker, the president of the NBC Universal Television Group, admits to the Associate Press, “I think we did a very poor job of putting the clips together at the upfront, and I think that didn’t work and that was our fault. But the fact is that anyone who has seen the show as a whole … the reaction is fantastic.” Click here to see a new picture from the series. Father of the Pride, the new CGI comedy series from Dreamworks about Siegfried and Roy’s show animals, can be seen on NBC, Tuesdays this fall, in the 9 p.m. time slot left by Frasier.
