A lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company by Stephen Slesinger Inc (“the family firm with U.S. merchandising rights” to Winnie the Pooh) for hundreds of millions of dollars in allegedly unpaid royalties has been dismissed with prejuduce by the judge, according to a Reuters report. Last month, Disney lawyers had asked the judge to throw the case out alleging that Slesinger investigators had stolen evidence.

A lawyer for the Slesinger family said that they will appeal the ruling. “Of course it’s not over. We don’t believe the evidence supports the sanctions that were delivered, and we certainly intend to file an appeal”.

More info will be posted as it becomes available.
