DavisDVD addresses the upcoming Mulan “Special Edition” DVD, which will feature a newly remastered anamorphic transfer, taken from the film’s original digitally stored files, and a fresh Dolby Digital 5.1 Disney Enhanced Home Theater Mix. Bonus materials for the DVD include alternate openings, a new song, audio commentary, a Mushu-hosted featurette that explains what life was like in ancient China, “Discovering Mulan” behind the scenes featurette, a “Digital Dim Sum” feature, music videos, games, and DVD-Rom material. While the retail value for the DVD set is $29.99, a tchotke-filled Collector’s Gift Set will also be released, with a retail value of $49.99. The Mulan Special Edition DVD is set to arrive in stores on October 26.
