Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas
Premiering on Disney DVD and Video on November 9
BURBANK, Calif., July 12, 2004 – This Christmas, find out who’s been naughty and who’s been nice in an all-new Disney holiday celebration, Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas. Mickey, Donald, Goofy and their pals star in an all-new, original animated movie about the importance of opening your heart to the true spirit of Christmas. This collection of five heartwarming and hilarious holiday tales premieres on Disney DVD and video on November 9, 2004. Available for $29.99 (S.R.P.) on Disney DVD and $24.99 (S.R.P.) on VHS.
On Disney DVD, Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas includes a full line-up of great bonus features for the family. Included are the “Guess What Donald is Singing?” sing along game, the “Santa’s Workshop Challenge” game and “Santa’s Sort” game; the comic “All Things Deleted” behind-the-scenes secrets, the “Inspiration on Ice” featurette with superstar Michelle Kwan, and a DVD-ROM holiday cards maker.
In a Disney first, Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas features the debut of Mickey Mouse and his friends in full computer-generated-animation. Over 75 years after making history as the first animated character to employ synchronized sound, Mickey Mouse remains as popular as ever, and now Mickey and Disney’s classic characters Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and more can be enjoyed in the state-of-the-art, wondrous 3D “CGI” world.
Directed by Matthew O’Callaghan. Produced by Pam Marsden-Siragusa.
Mickey’s Twice Upon A Christmas features five wonderful holiday tales:
In BELLES ON ICE, figure skaters Minnie and Daisy are best pals, but each thinks they’re the star of the big ice show. A battle for skating supremacy ensues, each trying to top the other with more daring and spectacular moves. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, though, and they find that it’s better to share the spotlight than to steal the show.
It’s CHRISTMAS: IMPOSSIBLE for Huey, Dewey, and Louie when they realize they may be left off Santa’s good list this year. There’s no time left to mend their ways, so their only course of action is to break into Santa’s workshop and write their own names on the list. By the time their mission is complete, however, they learn a valuable lesson about selflessness and giving.
CHRISTMAS MAXIMUS finds Max bringing his college girlfriend Mona home for the holidays to meet Goofy. He begs his Dad to make him look good, but Goofy’s over-the-top antics make Max mortified with embarrassment. However, Goofy’s heart is in the right place as usual, and by the end Max sees that his Dad has won Mona over just by being himself.
In DONALD’S GIFT, our long-suffering duck just wants to stay home and avoid the hassle of Christmas. But Daisy and the Nephews drag him to the mall, where a particular Christmas carol follows him everywhere and drives him bananas. He destroys half the mall trying to escape it, but finally gives in and lets the music and spirit of Christmas into his heart.
In MICKEY’S DOG-GONE CHRISTMAS, Pluto decides to run away after accidentally destroying Mickey’s prized Christmas decorations. He inadvertently ends up on a train to the North Pole, where he falls in with Santa’s Reindeer and is soon having the time of his life. But as Mickey searches frantically for his lost pup, Pluto is missing his pal as well – and when they reunite, they’ve both learned that being together is more important than anything else at Christmas.
