Yahoo! Movies for the UK and Ireland announces that the direct-to-video title starring The Lion King’s comedy duo, Timon and Pumbaa, Around the World with Timon and Pumbaa, is coming to DVD. Originally released on home video following the success of The Lion King, this compilation of the Timon And Pumbaa television show features the tiny Timon and his portly pal Pumbaa traveling to some “tropical islands, the Amazon jungle and [making] two stops in Canada.” No release date is mentioned for region one viewers, though fans may want to take a look if only because Steve Moore’s theatrical short Stand By Me (inexplicably missing from the recent Lion King releases) is featured in the line up. The disc is out in the UK now.
