While the DVD itself receives a score of 7/10, the show gets a score of 8/10, with FilmForce adding that it “takes the original characters and makes it a cop show, but it’s intriguing so far.” Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Vol. 1 will be released July 27, 2004.
