Toon Zone has the details on new direct-to-video movies based popular toys. First up, Paramount Home Entertainment will provide worldwide distribution to Hasbro’s direct-to-video titles, both companies yesterday. Releases this September include G. I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom and Tonka Tough Truck Adventures: The Best Show on Wheels, while October will bring Transformers Energon and “Have You Heard?” Secret Central. Future films based on Duel Masters, Weebles, and Candy Land will arrive Spring 2005. Meanwhile, Miramax Home Entertainment will distribute Mattel’s will full-length, direct-to-video animated film based on its My Trend girls. The movie should be available Fall 2005.
