There’s a ton of new stuff to get through over at Dark Horizons today, but of most interest is this peek at Fox’s forthcoming animated sitcom, American Dad, created by Family Guy‘s Seth MacFarlane. “Father Stan will go to extremes to protect America from harm – as evidenced by his frequent knee-jerk reaction of shooting holes in the toaster whenever the toast pops up. In addition to Stan’s wife and children, the household has Roger, the sarcastic space alien who deeply resents the fact that he’s not allowed to leave the house, and Klaus, a lascivious, German-speaking goldfish – the result of a CIA experiment gone seriously wrong”. American Dad starts next Jauary, 2005, with a tentaitve 9:30pm/8:30pm(c) Sunday slot.

In other Dark Horizon postings, a quick glimpse of the 2004 Licensing Show (an annual event in New York which sees the year’s new merchandising lines unveiled) sees pushes for such animation-related titles as Stuart Little 3, Zathura: Jumanji 2, King Kong, Curious George, The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Madagascar, Wallace And Gromit: The Movie, Son Of The Mask, The Fantastic Four and Batman Begins. There are also updates on various other comic book character movies on the same page, including Superman, Catwoman and Spider-Man 2.
