Animators Tom Bancroft (Mushu in Mulan, among others) and Rob Corley are following in the footsteps of other Disney Florida animators by setting up their own company, Funnypages Productions, which “will join their already existing subsidiary comic book publishing company, Funnypages Press”, according to their press release, which can be read in full here:

ORLANDO, FLORIDA (March 1, 2004) – Disney veteran animators Tom Bancroft and Rob Corley announce the formation of their new animation development company, Funnypages Productions, LLC. This company will join their already existing subsidiary comic book publishing company, Funnypages Press. Funnypages Productions will offer a full range of animation production as well as illustration, character design and artistic development. FP Productions has also developed many original properties for film and television.

Both Corley and Bancroft have over 30 combined years of experience in the animation industry. To their credit, they have been nominated for Annie and Rueben awards, spoken at the Kennedy Center and Suncoast Young Authors Celebration, Tampa Fl, and awarded an entry into the Chicago Children’s Film Festival.

While at Disney, the two partners had the opportunity to contribute animation on 10 animated feature films, 5 animated shorts, and numerous special projects and commercials. Some of the classic films include, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, Lilo and Stitch, and Brother Bear. Bancroft was also a character designer and director for Big Idea Productions makers of the family-friendly Veggietales video series.
