The computer animation arm of Dreamworks SKG has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a $650 million initial public offering, applying to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “DWA” (DreamWorks Animation). In a statement filed with regulators late Monday, the company said it would use the proceeds to repay debt and fund upcoming animation projects.
