Two relative newcomers will direct and write the fifth installment of the popular Harry Potter film franchise according to a Variety report at Cinema Confidential. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be directed by David Yates with a screenplay by Michael Goldenberg. Yates, who is more known for his televison work in the United Kingdom, has only one theatrical feature film credit. While Goldenberg only has three previous feature screenwriting credits to his name, he has proven successful at bringing classic books to the big screen including Contact in 1997, Peter Pan in 2003, and the upcoming Where the Wild Things Are.
