Clifford’s Really Big Movie opens in select cities today – on 471 screens according to Box Offcie Mojo (see the official website for a list and more info about the film). While many critics at Rotten Tomatoes are panning the film, most are judging it from an adult point of view. Kevin Thomas of The L.A. Times looks at it in the way it should be reviewed saying, “Though not exactly a gripping experience for adults, parents have reason to be grateful for a movie that has been so carefully tailored to preschool to first-grade sensibilities”. Clifford’s Really Big Movie is also notable in that it is the last film to feature actor John Ritter, who voices the Big Red Dog.
