The Hollywoord Reporter reports that more “fractured fairy tales” appear to be on the way, as Wild Brain’s Big Bad Wolf, an animated retelling of “Little Red Riding Hood,” is on the way from Casey Silver Productions, which bought the project through the company’s discretionary fund with Universal. Wild Brain may decide to co-finance the project with Universal. This new version of the beloved fairy tale will tell the story from the wolf’s point of view, with the idea that the wolf was framed. Mike Glock, set to write the film’s screenplay, explains, “The big, bad wolf is really a good guy. He is framed for the murder and enlists a modern-day girl and brings her back into the fairy tale world to help solve the crime.”
