Even with more than a year to go before release (and Shark Tale to be released before it), the buzz is starting to build on DreamWorks’ 2005 feature Madagascar. Long in development, the Eric (Antz) Darnell film looks to be integrating a 2D-styled look within its 3D computer animation, as voice talent Ben Stiller tells SciFi Wire. “It’s like a 2D slip-‘n’-slide in which the animals are a little more cartoon-like”, he says.

The website also confirms reports that Andy Serkis, who brought Gollum to life in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, is returning to work for director Peter Jackson on King Kong, also due next summer.
