ABS-CBN News indicates that Andre 3000 of the group OutKast is developing a potential animated series for the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Currently planned as a half-hour special, the project could be greenlight for series treatment, if Andre 3000 and Cartoon Network are happy with the results of the special. Though still in the early stages of development, the project is believed to be inspired by the rapper’s life or perhaps his alter ego, Johnny Vulture, who was last seen as the guitar-playing wildman in OutKast’s “Hey Ya!” video. The special will also likely feature a musical component similar in style to such animated films as Cool World and Yellow Submarine, with Andre 3000 possibly providing music.
