Ain’t It Cool News has posted some updates concerning past stories. First up are two more very positive reviews for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. As the latter reviewer ‘Froggie Dude’ states, “Without a doubt, this is one of the best movies of the summer, and one of the most interesting movies of the year.”

Also, following yesterday’s report of a possible first look at Fantastic Four‘s Ben Grimm/The Thing, Mike Elizalde from the special effects company Spectral Motion has sent an e-mail to AICN that places an end to the speculation. The Thing maquette is actually an older design that was submitted by Steve Johnson’s EdgeFx, the company that Spectral Motion beat out in a design competition for Fantastic Four. The piece was merely on display as part of the Makeup Artist Trade Show museum.

Finally, ‘Billfro’ reviews Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, remarking, “As rich as the visuals and music are, the story is where this movie excels.”
